Point S Development announces the enlargement of its private label tyre range. Driven by the success of the Summerstar and Winterstar tyres, the international HQ of the Point S group has decided to add a new tyre to its range: Point S 4 Seasons.
As a result of innovations and advertising campaigns by major manufacturers, the “all-season” tyre gains market share every year in Europe. For all those, Point S could not be deadlocked! “We do not try to encourage our customers to prefer this type of tyre as we strongly recommend the fitting of winter and summer tyres, but for those who are determined, we want to be able to offer them an alternative to the major brands,” explains Émilie Faure, product manager.
Following the path of the studded tyre Winterstar ST, the group is interested in developing and satisfying new market segments with the Point S 4 Seasons. Offered exclusively within the network, these new references must enable the members to obtain better margins.
Mrs. Emilie Faure, in charge of the Point S tyre range comments: “We are glad of this new product development which enables us to satisfy all customers’ needs”.
As the existing Point S range, this new tyre is designed and manufactured by one of the largest manufacturer in Europe. This tyre has a summer-optimised shoulder and a winter-optimised centre which make it adaptable to any weather condition. This tyre meets the 3PMSF requirements (winter tyre certification). However Mrs Faure insists “Point S 4 Seasons is not destined to replace a winter tyre. It is supposed to meet the needs of customers who do not change their tyres twice a year, offering optimised and balanced performance during the 4 seasons of the year”.
The tyre is being officially launched in July 2017 in Europe. A communication campaign driven by Point S Development is being deployed in all the European countries. This campaign adapted to the needs of countries is available to retailers to support the sales of this new product.
This brand new range covers 20 dimensions in total, dedicated to passenger cars. As it is an exclusive brand, it will be only marketed in the Point S points of sale.
